Yukon PNP

Yukon PNP is a joint immigration program of Yukon Government and IRCC and holds abundant opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled immigrants to immigrate to Yukon.

The YPNP is driven by employers looking to fill critical vacancies when qualified Canadians or permanent residents cannot be found. As a result, the number of foreign workers accepted into the program is connected to job vacancies in the territory. If you cannot find work in Yukon, then you cannot participate in the program.

Worker eligibility

The Yukon Nominee Program accepts applications for nominee candidates both inside and outside of Canada. To qualify for the Yukon Nominee Program, you must:

  • have a full-time and year-round job offer from an eligible Yukon employer; and
  • meet the specific criteria of your application stream.

You are not eligible if you’re:

  • a refugee claimant; or
  • inadmissible to Canada.

Various categories under which an applicant may apply for Yukon PNP are:

  • Express Entry program
  • Skilled worker program
  • A critical impact worker program
  • Business nominee program
  • Yukon Community Pilot

To apply as permanent residents under YPNP, applicants need to be working, in an occupation, for  at least 30 hours a week

An applicant, with a provincial nomination from the Yukon government, can work two or three jobs simultaneously, to meet this requirement. There is no need for LMIA under this stream.
